BIO:

 

Dion Monti is a Johannesburg based sound-artist, producer and visual artist. 

He has collaborated with several arists in Switzerland and South Africa making sound-design and music for films, accesible installations, video installations and an opera. 

 

His solo project is focused on electronic music for dancefloors.

The approach to sound is conceptual and is put in practice by use of fieldrecordings and sound synthesis.

Besides Djing he also performs live only using electronic hardware instruments and sequencers.

 

Visually his work is currently focused on the value and combination of materials of organic and synthetic origin. In research of their context within a society which can't make up its mind about transience and immortality.
